Hästens Wigmore Street to officially open today, 23rd of June 2021!

Luxury Swedish sleep brand Hästens are pleased to announce the official opening of their Wigmore Street store in London, today, on 23rd of June 2021. Synonymous with the blue check, Hästens has been manufacturing world-class handcrafted beds in Sweden since 1852. This marks the brand’s fourth store to open in London.
Standout products on show at the new store include three of Hästens’ Grand Vividus beds – famously owned by Drake and featured on the cover of Architectural Digest US last year in his home – the latest and most premium bed in the brands collection. Also available for the first time in the UK at the Wigmore Street location will be products from Hästens collaboration with Swedish creative design duo Bernadotte and Kylberg. Samples of bolster fabric, headboard fabric, bed legs, pillows and linens are also available in-store, so that Hästens can work with clients to support them in designing a complete and bespoke bed dressed in linens.
The new Wigmore Street location will be home to a sleep spa where clients are able to book in for a sleep consultation with an expert to trial beds in a tranquil and private environment. Visitors are encouraged to book in for a test sleep to ensure that they are investing in exactly the right bed for them. Their Hästens expert will also be able to analyze sleeping positions and recommend products to ensure the best possible nights sleep.
Hästens’ rich history runs back through six generations and started in the Swedish town Köping, where the beds still are being made. The master traditions are proudly carried by Hästens’ fifth generation owner and chairman, Jan Ryde. Today the family-owned company has expanded its markets to comprise 37 countries in Europe, Asia and America.
Hästens beds are famously made with the finest craftsmanship, using only the best natural materials. Each and every material has been selected for a purpose; horsetail hair, to regulate the bodies’ temperature; cotton and wool for an optimal sleeping climate allowing you to fall asleep faster; Flax, which diverts and prevents static electricity from occurring; finally, slow growing northern pine to give stability that lasts for generations.
