Hundreds of exhibitors display boats from dinghies to sailing vessels at this fair, including some lined up along the quarter-mile-long marina beside the ExCeL Centre. The centrepiece is the watersports action pool, which gives visitors the chance to watch and try out activities such as stand-up paddle boarding, wakeboarding, windsurfing, dinghy sailing, canoeing and kayaking. There’s also a sail handling demo rig, model boat pool and picnic area, and the Knowledge Box, with talks by professionals and industry experts. New for 2012 are cookery demonstrations, showcasing dishes that can be prepared in all sizes of galley.

Annual contemporary visual theatre event encompassing mime, mask work, acrobatics, circus skills, animation and puppetry. Venues include Soho Theatre, Southbank Centre, Barbican, Roundhouse and Royal Opera House. See the website for a full programme.

JCCs Pub Quiz för deras medlemmar.

Join the JCC for the first event in 2012. On 19 January we meet at the lovely pub Tudor Rose for another highly appreciated Pub Quiz in a speak-friendly atmosphere.The Tudor Rose can be found in the middle of Marylebone, close to both Bond and Baker Street as well as Marble Arch stations. Please go to the upper floor, which we have for ourselves, this is also where the JCC Pub Quiz will be at 19.30.
We will be there from 18.30, so pop by for a refreshing drink and get to know more of JCC’s members.
