Duck & WaffleA brunch with a view! Head up to the 40th floor of the Heron tower for a spectacular vision of the city at this elegant eatery in East London. Duck & Waffle may be open 24/7, but their brunch stands out to us with classics such as eggs, pancakes and waffles (duh) mixed with specials such as spicy ox cheek doughnuts, mizo glazed rabbit and foie gras creme brûlée. NopiNopi is the latest masterpiece by Yotam Ottolenghi, of Ottolenghi fame. With a middle eastern twist to the menu, such as a to-die-for shakshuka and grilled Mastelo cheese with pita bread, fried eggs and za’atar, patrons are guaranteed a flavourful and perfectly cooked breakfast. The Breakfast ClubAs the name would suggest, this place is serious about breakfast. Since opening in 2005, TBC has done a good job at giving Londoners what they want – all day brekkie. Their American-inspired menu serves up pancake stacks, all kinds of eggs, fries and huevos ranchos. It’s very popular (busy) at times, but we think it’s worth the wait.
