Welcome to Skandilicious Julbord!

Swedish events company Skandilicious is proud to announce the upcoming launch of the pop-up Swedish Christmas Restaurant & Bar in the Old Guardian Media Building in Farringdon on the November 14 2014.

From the meticulously prepared food served in the traditional Smörgåsbord way, to the Scandi-style decor, to the seasonal cocktails prepared by an award-winning mixologist, the pop-up will immerse guests in Swedish Christmas warmth from the moment they walk through the door. The restaurant will serve a traditional Swedish “Julbord” (the Christmas version of a Smörgåsbord), featuring all the customary dishes and a few contemporary additions, for lunch and dinner daily, including gravlax and smoked salmon, mustard crumbed roast ham, Swedish meatballs and many types of different herring for the more adventurous. Post-meal, guests are invited to withdraw to the cosy Loft Bar, where Fredrik Olsson, previously voted London’s Best Bartender by London Club Bar Awards, has created an exclusive cocktail menu using seasonal ingredients.

Running for the six weeks leading up to Christmas, the pop-up hopes to bring a taste of Scandinavia to the UK. Maria Trechman, Co-Founder of Swedish Christmas commented: ‘We’re thrilled to bring to life a long-term dream of creating a Swedish Christmas experience in London. The Julbord is a much loved Swedish tradition that we are proud and excited to be bringing to London this winter. We are hoping to delight our guests by offering them a unique Christmas dining experience that is just that little bit sweder’.
