The best day in the calendar amongst many Swedes! In Sweden every single Swede is celebrating Midsummer, often outside the big cities, in country houses and parks. So what about the London celebrations? The original LondonSwedes’ knows what’s up here – No one is responsible for the massive gatherings that have been happening in previous years in Hyde Park and not us either. If you want to go with some friends to the park, go ahead. It’s a fun day! Just make sure to take full responsibility for your own things and never leave any garbage.
There is still no official festival happening. There are some smaller one, we have listed them below.

Midsummer Dinner at Aquavit
Join the best Swedish restaurant in the capital for a jolly evening of schnapps, singing and a traditional feast of Scandinavian dishes on our newly launched Spring Terrace from 6:30-10:30pm to celebrate Midsummer’s Eve.
Food include: Mustard, vendace roe & chives, Brantevik herring. Gravlax with mustard, dill sauce. Mini bowls of Swedish meatballs, pickled cucumber, lingonberries. Food served with Aquavit – OP Anderson Original; cumin, anise, fennel 25ml

Midsummer Lunch party at The Lighthouse
Join The Lighthouse as they celebrate Swedish Midsummer in style. 4 course sit down meal including some Swedish Classics and a summer BBQ. Wine and local beer pairings, plus authentic Swedish Snaps, and of course, flower crowns! Have a truly Scandi time with traditional songs and games throughout dinner. ABSOLUT Midsummer Banquet
Celebrate the longest day of the year and the start of the Absolut Midsommar festival with a 3-course Swedish feast and Absolut cocktails. They have an impressive menu!

Virtuous Vodka Midsummer party at Sager & Wild
Restaurant Sager & Wild have partnered with organic Swedish brand Virtuous Vodka to bring a taste of Scandi summer celebrations to East London. In honour of the traditional Swedish Midsummer festivities, they will be running a special Virtuous Vodka cocktail menu with a Swedish inspired food menu and DJs including DJ Mo Fingaz and Mr Russ Ryan.
Their very own Swedish chef is putting together a special a la carte menu for the event with a mixture of snacks and more substantial bits to truly give you a taste of Sweden, expect Virtuous Vodka cured Gravlax and Swedish caviar on toast.
A complimentary Midsummer punch on arrival and Swedish Beers along with the below cocktails for a reduced price of just £5! If you can’t wait till then these drinks are on our cocktail list for £8.50 throughout June so come down and give them a try.

Young professionals Midsummer After Work Drinks
On Friday the 22nd of June, the Young Professionals Midsummer Extravaganza returns to London! The holiday is a Swedish favourite and it involves flowers in your hair, dancing, singing songs while drinking unsweetened, flavoured schnapps and Rekorderlig Cider.
Join the celebration at KuPP and experience the highlight of Swedish festivities. Enjoy a live band, the breeze from the water in the Paddington basing, try the KuPP Midsummer feast at a discounted price, get treated to two complimentary ciders (collected the first 2 hours of the event) and tie your own flower crown like Swedes have done for centuries.

Kosmopol Thursday Midsummer Celebrations

BeBrunch Day Brunch
BEbrunch is teaming up with some of London’s best Swedish promoters to bring you a huge party on the Century Club Rooftop.
Their DJ’s will be playing a mix of house, commercial and hip-hop back to back all afternoon with several performances from 12-6: 30 pm. Our seated dining brunch menu will be served 12-2pm (last orders at 1 pm). If you’re not joining us for food don’t worry the music, entertainment and drinks will be ready for you from 12 pm until 6:30 pm.

Swedish Church in Marylebone
Come celebrate Midsummer at Ulrika Eleonora!
A festive midsummer mingle with food and refreshments, followed by the magically mystic Swedish classic Förklädd Gud by Lars-Erik Larsson, performed by Ulrika Eleonora church choir, supported by soloists and an 11-piece orchestra, conducted by Toril Briese.

Midsommar i Brighton
Lördag 23 juni
Välkomna att fira midsommar med oss på svenska skolan i Brighton den 23:e juni från 12.00 till 17.00. Ta med er picknick, filt och sångröst. Biljetter kostar £2 per person och finns tillgängliga att köpa här: Det ingår hopptorn, jordgubbstårta, musikunderhållning, allsång och dans kring midsommarstången. Fine and Scandi kommer att befinna sig på plats och sälja mat och svenskt kaffe. Dessutom kommer där att vara försäljning av svenskt godis, smycken och andra hantverk. Parkeringen på svenska skolan reserveras för medhjälpare, organisatörer och försäljare, men buss nummer 1 och 1A från centrala Brighton stannar alldeles utanför skolan. Vi är tacksamma om all kommunikation sker via den här Facebook-sidan.
