Looking for a live in Au Pair in Surrey

We are a busy, Surrey-based family looking for another member to join our family. We have had live in Au Pairs for 6 years and all our previous Au Pairs would be happy to give you a reference on our behalf. Our AuPair is has always been an integral part of our family anything else would seem strange to the children. We are looking for a Feb to early March start and you need to be able to stay for 6-18 months.

The hours are 35 hours per week (generally 7-9am and 3.00-7.00pm Monday-Thursday and 7-9am and 12.30-7pm Fridays) in term time plus 1 nights baby sitting which is fairly rare. The salary is £90/week with 20 days paid holiday per year. During school holidays, the hours are longer but we can increase salary to reflect this.

The Squire children
Samuel is 8 years old and likes dinosaurs, space, lego hero factory and the body. He also likes drawing, writing and making things.
Adam is 7 years old and is quite outgoing and is constantly talking. He likes cooking/baking. They both like helping with daily stuff like cooking and we try to teach them to help clear up their toys.

The Squire parents
My name is Tina and I work as an Operations Manager in a busy call centre. I’m Swedish and my boys are brought up bilingual Swedish/English. My husband’s name is Matthew and he is an IT consultant. Matthew is English but grew up in South Africa. We’ve both been living in the UK for 16 years now.

We both work full time and are looking for an au pair to help with child care and some other things around the house. Duties which will include:
• Taking the boys to and from school (currently in 2 different schools)
• Taking them to after school activities (perform, football) etc.
• Preparing packed lunch
• Helping with light cleaning and general housework e.g. loading and emptying the dishwasher/washing machine, clearing away after meals etc.
• Planning and cooking healthy dinners
• Managing the children’s laundry
• Getting the children ready for bed, including bathing them and putting them in bed if necessary.
• Keep the children’s room and playroom tidy at all times
• Play with the children and help educate them (including home work if/when required)

We are looking for an outgoing and confident girl who is at least 21 years old and who have lived away from home before and is excited about taking on a new challenge. You also need to:
• Have an ability to speak English (Swedish and advantage as well but not necessary)
• Have some previous experience/exposure to children (could be babysitting or being an aunt or having younger siblings)
• Be a genuine non smoker
• Have a valid EU drivers license and be willing to drive (daily transfer to/from school is required)
• Be flexible, be relaxed, be proactive and able to prioritize
• Able to share a house/living with a family
• Used to taking on responsibility

We live in a 4-5 bedroom house with a huge kitchen/ family room looking on to the garden. Our house is in the village of Effingham, near Leatherhead in the countryside in Surrey just south of London. You will have your own double bedroom and share a bathroom with the children. We have wireless superfast broadband which you can use with your own laptop or borrow one from us. You will have your own car and we will make sure that you are insured and confident to drive this car. We go over the basic traffic rules that may be different and if you want to we will help you to get comfortable with driving in England and on the left hand side of the road. As it is important for us to be able to contact you whilst you are here looking after our children we will make sure that you have access to a mobile phone.
