    Senior Assistant Manager – Café
    Hej. We’re Scandinavian Kitchen – that nice café near Oxford Circus where you can get lovely open sandwiches, fresh salads and delicious cakes – and really nice coffee. We also stock over 600 products from all over Scandinavia.

    We’re looking for an experienced Senior Assistant Manager to join our lovely team front of house.

    The job in a nutshell: You will be the person looking after the front of house. You will manage, train and mentor the café staff, you will ensure excellent delivery of food, coffee and shopping experience and you will be the champion of our brand experience when people come to visit us.

    Responsibilities include:

    Manage the Front of House Team and ensuring they make brilliant coffee, serve our wonderful customers well and run a really tidy and smooth day-to-day service.
    Champion day-to-day quality control and food production during service.
    Oversee the inductions and general Front of House Training.
    Look after daily till reconciliation.
    Be the Master of Displays for Cafe area and work with business owners to help ensure we offer the right things to our customers.
    Implement the Cafe & Deli strategy together with the Cafe Manager.
    Day to day H&S Manager for Foh.
    Make excellent coffee, every cup, always.
    We’re looking for

    Strong management experience – we need someone who has already managed people and can prove they excel in this area – a real people person both to the team and the customers.
    A strong experience as a barista in a busy café (or other relevant retail and / or cafe experience)
    Display experience.
    Brilliant interpersonal skills, wonderful with people, builds relationships easily. Thinks outside the box to deliver amazing customer experiences.
    Attention to detail and possess that all important common sense and logic.
    Good IT skills and common sense for when things go wrong. You can think on your feet.
    Proactive, full of drive, dedicated and totally committed.
    Knowledge of Scandinavian food and/or a Scandi language a big, huge advantage
    Knowledge of working in a professional kitchen would help, but not essential.
    A love of cakes, Scandinavian food and Eurovision helps.
    The job is full time, starting now and is permanent.
